Start and end-points are adjustable in most samplers - including the Erica Synth Drum Sampler. I have also tried to make a plan on modular grid but i dont even know where to start so if anyone has a starting point on there then that would be great also Please assume i know nothing in your explanations of modules and help me with even the most basic utility modules. If anyone has actually read this and wants to help a newbie out by pointing me in the right direction for modules. Eventually once i have the sample side sorted i was hoping to add an oscillator to combine with the sample based stuff, which i would want to sound like this I am aware this melody is not sample based, but it gives a good example of the cutoff and pitch/glide modulation that i am after, as well as the randomised melody. You can hear the sampled rhodes in the background, creating sort of randomised 'trills', admittedly this could be achieved with the MPC and a delay but im hoping to generate some more intricate yet similar melodic loops The start melody in this sounds to me like a sliced sample, re-pitched in places and re-sequenced, this is a similar sound to what i am going for, except possibly i would like to fill it out a btit more with a few more samples and randomised melodies For the style of sound that i am going for please check out the tracks below: Im sorry if any of this is obvious or i am asking stupid questions but im just out of my depth with the amount of modules and need some suggestions. I then need to be able to output stereo into my mixer, so will need a module for that, possibly a small 4 channel mixer or something before sending the signal out

On ableton i find myself loving the granular synthesis plugin, so to incorporate something like that into the rack would also be nice (for atmos/pad/stab) I would like to adjust pitch of samples I would like to be able to adjust the cutoff frequencies of the samples I would like the sampler to be very tactile (minimal menu diving if possible), able to adjust start/end/a/d/s/r on the fly

I would like the melody generation process to be semi-random, so that i can generate random looped melodies, but also so that its not a new random melody each time, if that makes sense

a rhodes piano sample, then split it up into different smaller samples and sequence each individual sample individually into a new melody My main aim for this rack is to take a sound e.g. I would also like to sequence using the MPC 2000xl if possible ( i was hoping one module could cover this need and the above need) I would like to be able to use my MPC 2000xl as a clock, so that i can play a drum beat on the MPC and have the rack synced and in time I have a 6U 84hp setup on the way and have not bought any modules yet, if anyone more experienced could reccommend some essential modules to suit my need then that would be excellent. I am a newbie to the modular world and have a specific sound in my head which i would like to create a rack out of. Hi everyone, I am currently lost in a sea of modules, each a little more confusing than the last.
